Mental illness or super power? My delirious take.

I have been medicated for Bipolar II for 3 years. In that time, I have earned 3 degrees and approximately $210,000. While not an impressive number it’s still something. To be proud of? Maybe. But what about all the time I spent not feeling like “myself”?

It’s expected, in order to live “successfully” in this society that you prescribe to neurotypical ideas. Ideas of success and failure. Ideas of what “normal” is. When you’re considered neurodivergent like me, this can also include numbing yourself.
